Check Internet Speed (Analiti Test)

Test your internet speed on Firestick using Analiti and understand whether your connection meets streaming requirements.

If you are seeing buffering, freezing, or poor video quality, the first step is to check whether your internet connection is fast and stable enough.

This guide will walk you through installing Analiti and running a speed test on your Firestick.

What is Analiti?

Analiti is a network and Wi‑Fi analyzer app that can run an internet speed test and show your connection results (including ping, download, and upload).

Before you run the test

  • Make sure you are connected to the same Wi‑Fi network you normally use for streaming.
  • If possible, run the test twice.
    • Once close to your router.
    • Once where you normally watch TV.
    • This helps you tell the difference between a weak Wi‑Fi signal and a slow internet connection.

  • Close any downloads, app updates, or streams on other devices while you test (if you can).

Quick instructions

  1. From your Firestick home screen, open Search.
  1. Search for Analiti.
  1. Install Analiti, then open it.
  1. If you see a pop-up prompt, select ASK ME LATER.
  1. Run the speed test and note your Ping, Download, and Upload results.

How to read your test results

  • Ping: How quickly your device responds to the internet. Lower is better.
  • Download: How fast your device can receive data. This is the most important number for streaming.
  • Upload: How fast your device can send data.

What speeds do you need?

Quality
Minimum Acceptable
Real-World Good
Premium/Amazing
Ping target
SD (480p)
3 Mbps+
5–10 Mbps
10+ Mbps
<100 ms
HD (720p–1080p)
10 Mbps+
15–25 Mbps
30+ Mbps
<50 ms
4K UHD (2160p)
25 Mbps+
40–60 Mbps
80–100+ Mbps
<25 ms

If your results are too low

  • Restart your Firestick and your router.
  • If you are on Wi‑Fi, try switching to 5 GHz (if available), moving closer to the router, or using an Ethernet adapter.
  • Pause downloads and updates on other devices, then re-test.
  • If your speeds are consistently low even near the router, contact your internet provider.
